How do I grow my WorkScore?

Your WorkScore reflects the opinions of people who worked closely with you. The most effective way to grow it is also the most straightforward — get rated by the right people.

Request Ratings

Everything starts on the Request Ratings page. Your verified coworker network is already there — browse it, search by name, or filter by company to find the colleagues you want to hear from. Focus on people you worked closely with — on the same team, on shared projects, in regular collaboration. Quality matters more than quantity.

When you find someone, you can send your request three ways:

  • Via WorkScore — we notify them directly through the platform and by email (based on their notification preferences)
  • Via LinkedIn message — opens a pre-drafted message you can send directly from LinkedIn
  • Copy link — copies your request link so you can send it yourself through any channel you choose

With any option, you can add a personalized message before sending — though this is entirely optional.

Can't find who you're looking for?

If a coworker isn't in your WorkScore network yet, tap Can't find them? This opens a simple modal with your personal link and suggestions for how to share it — via LinkedIn, SMS, email, or wherever you naturally communicate with them. Once they join WorkScore and their work history is verified, if they rate you it will count toward your score.

You won't know if a coworker rates you

Regardless of how you send a request, you won't be notified if and when that coworker rates you. This is by design — anonymity works both ways. It protects the rater's honesty and keeps the process free from any social pressure to reciprocate.

Be patient

Ratings accumulate over time. A WorkScore built steadily from genuine professional relationships is more durable — and more credible — than one built quickly through volume.

Once your score is where you want it, sharing it is just as straightforward. See: How do I share my WorkScore?
