How is my score calculated?

Your WorkScore is a number between 0 and 100, calculated from ratings submitted by your verified coworkers. It isn't a simple average — it's designed to distinguish between coworkers who would genuinely vouch for you and those who wouldn't.

The rating scale

Coworkers rate you on a scale of 0 to 10. Those ratings fall into three categories:

  • Promoters — scores of 9 or 10. Coworkers who would strongly vouch for you.
  • Neutrals — scores of 7 or 8. Coworkers with a positive but not strong view.
  • Detractors — scores of 0 to 6. Coworkers who would not actively recommend you.

The formula

WorkScore is derived from the Net Promoter Score methodology — a widely used standard for measuring advocacy. The percentage of Detractors is subtracted from the percentage of Promoters, producing a raw score between -100 and 100. That result is then shifted to a 0–100 scale:

WorkScore = (% Promoters − % Detractors + 100) ÷ 2

A score of 50 is neutral. Scores above 50 reflect more Promoters than Detractors. Scores below 50 reflect the opposite.

When will I see my score?

Your WorkScore becomes visible — and shareable — once you've rated five coworkers. If you've done that but haven't received any ratings yet, you'll see an empty state in your score view — with prompts to request ratings to get things moving.
