Can a coworker request a rating from me?

Yes — just as you can request ratings from coworkers, they can request one from you.

Where to find incoming requests

All rating requests you receive appear on your Requests Received page. If you've opted into activity notifications, you'll also get an email when a new request comes in.

Your options

When you receive a request you have three options:

  • Rate them — submit a 0–10 rating based on your direct experience working together
  • Haven't Worked Together — use this if you overlapped at the same company but didn't work closely enough together to have a genuine opinion of their performance. This is common at larger organizations where tenure overlap doesn't always mean direct collaboration
  • Skip — use this if you'd rather not rate this person right now but may want to come back to it later

There's no obligation to rate anyone who requests one from you. The best ratings come from people with real firsthand experience — if that's not you, Haven't Worked Together is the right call.
